MessageBird is always committed to delivering the best and most reliable service possible to our customers. After a recent routine upgrade of the Meta WhatsApp business clients to the latest stable version, we have observed an increase in the number of channels going into an offline state, which has had some impact on message processing for a small number of customers. This has required our engineers to intervene to mitigate issues.
While we work with Meta to understand the actual root cause of the issue, our engineering team has developed a mitigation plan that we will apply to all customer channels to ensure that WhatsApp channels remain online and prevent impacting your WhatsApp service.
This will require a short period of maintenance, during which time your WhatsApp channel will be unavailable for up to 10 minutes. During this time, sending and receiving messages and status updates will be delayed. However, no messages will be lost during the maintenance period and delivered as soon as the channel is available again.
